"Tune in to Dog Behaviour" Class

Picture
Heather teaches this class in Truro, NS.

The class runs 6 consecutive weeks in a classroom setting (humans only, please!).

This course is designed to open the communication lines between human and canine.

This course is ideal for people working with groups for dogs in shelters, boarding and dog daycare settings, or owners of multiple dogs.  It will also be of interest to those whose work (or exercise) brings them into contact with strange dogs and who want to be more comfortable around dogs they may encounter.

Topics covered
  • How dogs communicate – postures, vocal sounds, approach
  • What to look for – from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail
  • Types of behaviours
  • Calming signals
  • What to do and when
